Enter to Win a Songwriter Scholarship to the 2026 Retreat!

The Iowa Rock and Roll Music Association and the Okoboji Writers’ and Songwriters’ Retreat are excited to announce a new partnership to offer five (5) full tuition scholarships to songwriters for the 2026 retreat in Okoboji from September 27–30, 2026.

The retreat offers an opportunity for musicians and writers to come together, improve their craft and find new ways to share their stories and songs. Session topics will range from industry insights to creating your unique voice with incredible access to professional and veteran songwriters. The 2026 workshop will feature sessions from the likes of Dartanyan Brown, Dave Moore, Chad Elliott, Kathryn Severing Fox, Carol Montag, Jason Walsmith and more. The retreat is a unique, welcoming environment that provides new perspective, confidence and growth for writers and songwriters of all genres.

Deadline to Enter: May 31, 2026

Rules: No purchase necessary. Winners selected at random from eligible entries. One entry per person; duplicate entries will be discarded. Scholarships are non-transferable and valued at $895 each. This scholarship provides the signup fee for 2026 OWSR held on September 27-30, 2026, in Lake Okoboji, Iowa, and does not include lodging or transportation costs.
