I have written and produced media on food and agriculture for more than 25 years and wrote the book Bet the Farm: The Dollars and Sense of Growing Food in America about my journey moving to Iowa to take over my husband’s family’s farm.
We now raise grass-finished beef, goats, and veggies and host farm stays and tours. I have also spent much of my adult life teaching and was a professor of Media Studies at the University of San Francisco for six years and have taught at the Okoboji Writers Retreat for the past three years.
I am also an honored member of the Iowa Writers Collaborative.
