Julie Gammack is the founder and producer of the Okoboji Writers’ and Songwriters’ Retreat and the Iowa Writers’ Collaborative, and a former talk-radio host and Des Moines Register columnist. A longtime journalist, and connector of people, she is known for building innovative literary networks that help writers grow their craft, audience, and creative confidence.

“Substack Success with Julie Gammack and Debra Engle.” In this workshop, Julie Gammack and Debra Engle will co-facilitate an abbreviated version of a class from a successful Substack Success series offered through Story Summit. Debra is the executive director for Story Summit, and Julie is the founder and producer of the Okoboji Writers’ and Songwriters’ Retreat and founder of the of the Iowa Writers’ Collaborative, a group of 60+ professional Iowa writers who are using the Substack platform.
