Kyle Munson
Journalist and Content Strategist
Kyle Munson is a lifelong writer, journalist, and content strategist who has participated in every year of the Okoboji Writers’ Retreat. He spent 24 years in daily news with the Des Moines Register, including eight years as Iowa columnist.
Since 2018 he has specialized in brand and content marketing for Principal Financial Group.
He also chairs the nonprofit Western Iowa Journalism Foundation and publishes “Kyle Munson’s Main Street” as a member of the Iowa Writers’ Collaborative.
He has studied Shakespeare in London, reported from China, and isn’t afraid to engage in deep conversations with generative AI.
