Sheree Bykofsky is a generalist and has eclectic and sometimes eccentric tastes. She represents all areas of non-fiction and commercial and literary fiction, but currently she’s only seeking non-fiction. She doesn’t limit myself to particular genres because she’s always surprised by what appeals to her. If she loves it, then she’ll take it on. The only way to know is to try her. If it needs work and she wants to represent it, she’ll tell you. If she chooses not to agent you, you should know that she’s not judging you or your writing, or even your idea. It’s just not right for her.
There are a few areas she particularly likes in non-fiction: health, business, prescriptive non-fiction, self-help/psychology, humor, biography and current affairs, women’s interest, cookbooks, spiritual, multicultural, parenting, anything to do with games, movies or music. In fiction, she particularly like commercial fiction with literary appeal and mysteries. She’s always looking for a bestseller in any category.
