Steve began the Ice Cube Press in 1991 with a wish to better understand how we can best live in the Midwest using the literary arts. Since then he has published well over 100 books by remarkable authors all over the nation. He was recognized with the Iowa Governor’s Art Award in 2023.
Along the way he also authored a book on herons and a ghost town.
